Junior Nolan’s team cars of Bart Hartman and Jake Hawkins set
the pace from their front row positions with Hartman pulling
away at the start. As the field rolled thru turns 3-4
behind Hartman, JE Stalder, Hawkins and Dixon made it three

Hall right in the mix. Hawkins would seal up second by
the time the scrabble sorted itself out at the stripe for lap
1 to be completed. The first yellow came out on lap five

Jonathan Taylor was up to sixth already.
Hartman re-fired the field with Hawkins and Stalder battling

the NDRL National Series, NDRL McKean County Raceway and the

about horsepower and speed.

be found competing weekly at NDRL events.
It’s definitely something we should be involved in.”
“It is personally important to me to support the NDRL’s McKean
County Raceway as well.
I fell in love with dirt racing when I was a boy
tagging along with my dad who sometimes was requested as a
welder for the pits back in the 80’s.
I was really impressed with the way the first season
under NDRL direction went last year.
The McKean County Raceway is one of the nicest
facilities that we see and having exciting motorsports action
there is great for our community.”

Northeast Late Model Series and NDRL Modified Series Implement
Hoosier Tire Rule
Pittsburgh, PA (February, 7, 2014)
The National Dirt Racing League has signed a three year
agreement with Hoosier Racing Tire to be the exclusive tire
for the NDRL Northeast Late Model Series and NDRL Modified
NDRL Northeast Late Model Series
competitors will be required to use Hoosier 1300 compound or
harder at all NDRL Northeast Late Model Series sanctioned
events. Tires must be clearly marked with the four-digit
designation. Tire compounds may not be removed or covered.
NDRL Modifieds Series will be required to use a Hoosier M100
Medium or Harder compound.
To help offset the initial shock of tire expense at the
beginning of the season, the NDRL Modified Series will allow
any Hoosier tire to be used until May 17, 2014.
After that date all teams will need to conform to the
M100 or harder tire rule on all four corners. Tires must be
clearly marked with the four-digit designation. Tire compounds
may not be removed or covered.
These and all
rules at with the NDRL Northeast Late Model Series and NDRL
Modified Series will be strictly enforced and tire testing
will be implemented at the discretion of NDRL officials.
The NDRL Announces Newly Formed NDRL Northeast Late Model
Series and NDRL Modifieds Series
PA (January 7, 2014) Officials with the National Dirt Racing
League are pleased to announce the addition of the NDRL
Northeast Late Model Series and the NDRL Modifieds Series to
the NDRL family of series’ beginning this upcoming 2014
season. The NDRL Northeast Late Model Series and NDRL
Modifieds Series will join the second year NDRL ‘Kings of
Dirt’ National Series along with the NDRL’s McKean County
Raceway under the National Dirt Racing League banner.
‘We want to build a pair of new regional
series’ for both Late Models and Modifieds,’ NDRL’s Jason
Shank said. ‘We have high expectations for both of the NDRL
Northeast Series and NDRL Modifieds Series. We feel there is
room in the northeast and mid-Atlantic region for a solid
mid-major late model series, but it’s going to take some time
to build a relevant regional series that promoters, drivers,
and fans can support.’ ‘We would eventually like to see the
NDRL Northeast Series to be comparable to the old ‘STARS’
series or ‘MACS’ (Mid-Atlantic Championship Series),’ NDRL
Owner John Kennedy bottom-lined. ‘Our plan is to build into
something like that within the next few years.
’The NDRL Northeast Late Models as well as the NDRL Modifieds will kick
off their inaugural season on March 29, 2014 at Mercer Raceway Park
and the annual ‘Chiller Thriller’. The NDRL team has been hard at work
trying to put together a formidable schedule for racers and fans and
have been in negotiations with tracks like America’s Raceway Park, Eriez Speedway, Hagerstown Speedway, Little Valley Speedway, McKean
County Raceway, Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway, Port Royal Speedway,
Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex, Sharon Speedway, Woodhull Speedway
and many others. NDRL officials will have a schedule completed in the
